The childhood home of pop princess Britney Spears has sold for just $275,000. The singer grew up in Kentwood, Louisiana in the three-bedroom, two-and-a-half bathroom ranch house. The property has green striped wallpaper, 1970s-style wood panelling, ceiling fans, granite countertops, a wood-burning fireplace and a two-car garage. When she was home, Britney would sleep in her mother's bed because she was scared of stalkers. The only unusual thing about the property, built in 1979, is a metal building studio "that has endless possibilities from a dance studio or office area" according to the listing. The two-acre property also has two metal storage buildings. The seller of the 2,299-square-foot brick home was none other than Britney's dad James - who is better known as Jamie Spears. He has lived at the house since his divorce from Britney's mother, Lynne, in 2002. The house sold to an unknown buyer on February 5th. It was offered "fully furnished" but Britney's bedroom furniture was donated to the Kentwood Historical and Cultural Museum. Given the superstar connection, the sale was a steal. The house went for about the same price as other homes in the area.
