Volodymyr Yatsenko, who served as first deputy chairman of the board of Privatbank, was detained in a Kiev airport when trying to leave the country. Yatsenko worked in Privatbank in 2016, when the lender, which was owned by powerful oligarch Igor Kolomoisky, was nationalised. Kolomoisky, who was accused of laundering $5.5 billion from the bank but never detained, is seeking in courts to overturn the nationalisation.
