Fashion designer Valentino Garavani has listed his Tuscan holiday villa for sale for ?12million. The 18th-century property boasts 15 bedrooms each decorated in an individual style, including the Sophia Loren room, named after the famous Italian actress who once spent the night there. Located close to the village of Cetona, it sits in 27 acres of private grounds which feature olive groves, a 200-seat stone amphitheatre, tree-lined running track, and swimming pool with pool-house. In total, the property has 17,000sqft of living space, including a gym and sauna. Underneath the home, which was built in 1750, there are a series of tunnels leading to an Etruscan tomb that dates to the seventh-century. The 87-year-old Valentino - who owns the fashion brand of the same name - has owned the property for 33 years with partner Giancarlo Giammetti, which they used as a summer get-away. Estate agent Riccardo Romolini said: "They would escape here from Rome's frenetic lifestyle. 'It's their retreat where they could find peace, silence and relax, and occasionally hold fashion events and parties."
