Japan's government declared a nationwide state of emergency on April 16th to prevent the further spread due to the country's worsening coronavirus outbreak, and decided to extend that period to the end of May. Meanwhile, the Japanese government has analyzed the situation of infection and medical care system, and removed the state of emergency declaration in 39 prefectures except 8 prefectures such as Tokyo, Osaka, and Hokkaido on May 14th. Sunsecuently, Osaka, Hyogo, and Kyoto Prefecture were lifted on May 21th.
