The landslide and flooding were triggered by a heavy rain, and Japan Meteorological Agency has issued a heavy rain emergency warning. According to the local government, 3 people died, 14 went into cardiopulmonary arrest, 20 are still missing, and two hundred thousand people have been given out directives on the evacuation.
