13 August 2020, Saxony-Anhalt, Magdeburg: Casts of carbolic mushrooms can be seen in the Natural History Museum in the exhibition "Mushrooms - Networkers of Nature". Behind it is the museum preparator and specialist for mushroom casts, Klaus Wechsel. In the exhibition, over 1000 mushroom preparations from around 200 Central European species are on display. Through a special casting process with epoxy resin, the preparator achieves a level of detail that even allows fungal spores to be identified. The exhibition can be seen in the Natural History Museum from 14 August 2020. Photo: Klaus-Dietmar Gabbert/dpa-Zentralbild/ZB
