Dead tree fossils are still visible buried with physical burns seen beside the Borus river at the Sinabung volcano feet in Berastepu Village, Karo, North Sumatra, Indonesia on January 7, 2021. Based the results of archaeological research by Volcanology Geological Disaster Mitigation Center for the Sinabung volcano, it was stated that the fossil trees around the Borus river, precisely Berastepu Village as the Sinabung volcano feet, concluded that there had been an eruption of the youngest Sinabung volcano which created hot clouds in 800 AD or 1200 years ago.
