From 26 October 2021 to 17 April 2022, Train World, the SNCB museum, is hosting an exceptional exhibition dedicated to the epic of the Orient-Express and its creator, Georges Nagelmackers from Licge. This exhibition-event, proposed by Train World as part of Europalia Trains & Tracks, takes you on a journey through Europe, at the turn of the 20th century. Discover the legend of this fabulous train, synonymous with luxury travel, adventures and exotic discoveries, as well as the fascinating story of Georges Nagelmackers, who realized his dream of an international railway network. Authentic Orient-Express cars will be exceptionally presented at Train World in Brussels. They immerse you in the atmosphere and nostalgia aroused by these sumptuous rolling palaces. This exhibition will also give pride of place to decorative works of art and unique documents retracing the adventure of the Orient-Express and the Wagons-Lits.The exhibition will also evoke the imaginaries that this mythical train has awakened and the dreams it has generated, of the most known as Agatha Christie to the most tenuous, while paying tribute to the craftsmen who helped build her legend.
