The restorer and collector Lothar Hasselmeyer from SŁderheistedt (Schleswig-Holstein) shows in the special exhibition with about 300 exhibits from his collection and loans the history and development of the world-famous invention to the present day. On display are historic hourglasses from 1690 to hourglasses for seafaring, household, promotional items, and the smallest hourglass with a running time of less than two seconds.
