LONDON, 4 December 2018 – Shard Lights is back for another year with an eye-catching new display reflecting the changing colours of the London sky. The annual festive light show launched on (Monday 3 December 2018 at 18:45 transforming the top 20-storeys of The Shard into a colourful spectacle that will illuminate the skyline and be visible across London. The theme this year is ‘reflection’, which has been inspired by the vast array of images shared by the general public on social media platforms of The Shard against the London sky. Throughout December, the 30-minute show will run through a day’s worth of colour – from golden sunrises to the pinks of sunset and finally to the dark blue of the night sky – every half an hour from 4pm to 1am. On 31st December, there will be a special one-off spectacle to celebrate New Year’s Eve. When the clock strikes midnight, the spire will illuminate white in time to the chimes of Big Ben before emulating the capital’s amazing firework display, marking the transition to 2019.
